Chicken Lollipop is a most popular Indian Chinese cuisine. In this dish, the chicken wings are spiced up and deep fried. These resemble lollipops and are served with schezwan sauce. It is a kind of unique dish among other Indian Chinese chicken dishes like Chilli Chicken, Chicken Manchurian, Hong Kong Chicken, Jalfrezi Chicken etc. Chicken lollipop can be served as a starter or a side in a meal.

- Chicken lollipops 15 pcs
- Oil as needed
- Ginger-garlic paste 2 tablespoons
- Red chili paste 2 tablespoons
- Garam masala ½ teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Black peppercorns (crushed) 1 teaspoon
- Ginger (chopped) 1 tablespoon
- Garlic (chopped) 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce 1 tablespoon
- Refined flour/ maida 4 tablespoons
- Corn flour 4 tablespoons
- Chopped green coriander leaves for garnishing.
Marinate the chicken
Take a bowl and there add chicken lollipops, 1 tablespoon of red chili powder, ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, ½ teaspoon of black peppercorns, salt and soy sauce and mix them well. Marinate the chicken for at least 30-45 minutes.
Make the thick batter
While the chicken is getting marinated, take another bowl and add ginger, garlic, remaining red chili paste, salt, refined flour, corn flour, and remaining black peppercorns and give a good mix. Now add a little water and make a thick batter.
Deep-fry the marinated lollipops
Now heat sufficient oil in a heavy-bottomed pan. Dip the marinated lollipops in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden.
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Now the Chicken lollipops are ready. Garnish it with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot as a starter along with sauce.
