- Chicken breasts 2 (boneless and skinless)
- Eggs 3 (beaten)
- Salt as needed
- Black pepper 1 teaspoon
- Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
- Chilli powder 1 ½ tablespoons
- All-purpose flour 1 cup
- Oil as needed
- Honey ¼ cup
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Hot sauce 2 tablespoons
- Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoons
Slice the chicken breasts and make an even coat
First of all, slice the chicken breasts into medium sized cubes. Now in a bowl add black pepper, 2 teaspoons salt, garlic powder and 1 teaspoon chilli powder and mix them well. Then place the chicken pieces into the bowl and coat them with the mixture evenly.
Fry the chicken pieces
Now place flour and egg in separate bowls. Dip a piece of chicken into the flour, then into the egg and again into the flour. Repeat the process with the remaining pieces. Heat some oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Fry the coated chicken pieces until deep-golden brown and crispy. Drain the excess oil in an absorbent paper. Now the chicken poppers are ready.
Prepare the sauce
In another pan over medium heat, mix together the honey, water, hot sauce, ketchup, and the remaining chilli powder. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for one minute.
Add the chicken poppers into the sauce and serve hot
Now the sauce is ready. Add the chicken poppers and toss them in the sauce until evenly glazed. Then switch off the flame and transfer it in the serving dish. Serve hot.
